That with respect to Report CD2025-0669, the following be adopted: That Council rescind the Community Services Program Policy (CPS2018).
Council voted to repeal the Community Services Program Policy (CPS2018). Repealing it removes the current rules and guidance that tell the city how community services are run and funded, so until a new policy or direction is provided, program administration, who is eligible, or funding could change or be unclear (CD2025-0669).
Removing CPS2018 eliminates the existing governance and guidance for city community services. That creates a window where administration, eligibility criteria, and funding arrangements for community programs may change or lack direction until a replacement policy or direction is adopted (CD2025-0669).
