That with respect to Report C2024-1175, the following amendment be adopted: That the Recommendation be amended by deleting the period at the end of the sentence, and inserting the ;following in its place: ; and further, that Council direct the Returning Officer to require: All individuals seeking election to Calgary City Council must submit a valid Police Information Check (PIC), including a Criminal Record Check (CRC), as part of their nomination papers. Any costs associated with obtaining the PIC will be borne by the candidate. This amendment shall take effect for the 2025 municipal election and all subsequent elections."
